I'm an IT Consultant.....

Being a Digital Champion means a lot to me - I help people in my community with their IT needs.

 

When I was contacted and was informed that a laptop had been destroyed it gave me great pleasure removing and replacing the hard drive and CD 

then installing the operating system and recovering data from the damaged hard drive. Obtaining and re-installing packages and conducting housekeeping was part of the service, as was education.  Informing my client that his hard drive was full which was causing him problems before he assulted the machine was part of the solution -  good house keeping was put in place. we are now 10 years on and the problem has not re-occured!

 

I now teach, as an assistant, basic computing skills and have just passed my L3 PTLLS qualification. I have embarked on delivering my own courses and hope that this will lead to a level 4 qualification.  So if it is one-to-one education which you require help me help you.

 

Keeping up to date with IT is a daily event - I am a Business Systems Analyst / Progect Manager who has and does program. But my heart is in design 

and I opt to outsouce the coding to friends - at a reasonable rate.
